About Sanorex
Sanorex acts on central appetite pathways. Its Japanese approval is for severe obesity (BMI at least 35, or the specified degree of obesity) when diet and exercise alone have been insufficient. It is an adjunct to these measures, not a substitute.
Research and expectations
Weight and appetite responses vary. Changes in appetite and body weight need to be assessed together with tolerability, diet and activity; published averages are not a personal forecast. Progress, tolerability and the need to continue are reviewed during the limited treatment period.
Taking the medicine
The usual adult dose is 0.5 mg before lunch. The maximum is 1.5 mg daily in divided doses before meals, using the lowest effective dose. Avoid evening dosing. Treatment must not exceed three months and should stop if there is no effect within one month.
Side effects and precautions
Dry mouth, constipation, nausea, palpitations and insomnia can occur. Dependence and pulmonary hypertension are important risks. Contraindications include pregnancy, childhood, severe heart, kidney or liver disease, severe hypertension, certain psychiatric conditions and MAO inhibitors taken currently or within two weeks. Give the doctor your complete medical and medicine history.

From booking to delivery
Book online
Choose an appointment. For a first consultation, provide identification and complete the questionnaire as instructed.
Phone consultation
The doctor calls your registered number. Discuss your goals, health history, medicines and questions in English. A prescription is not guaranteed.
Payment and delivery
After the consultation and payment, dispatch is normally within 2–3 business days, or up to 7 when busy. This is a dispatch estimate, not an arrival guarantee. Delivery is within Japan only.
Oral medicines are generally sent by domestic post. With Click Post, the parcel goes to your letterbox and a delivery-time appointment cannot be selected. Check your delivery address before payment.
A formal English medical letter costs ¥5,000 if requested; a printed receipt is free. Requirements for taking medicine abroad depend on the destination. A letter does not guarantee import permission.
Your questions, answered
Can anyone request Sanorex?
A booking does not guarantee a prescription. The approved indication is severe obesity. Use outside that indication is off-label and needs specific clinical consideration; it is not a general-purpose slimming tablet.
Does a 90-tablet price mean three months will be prescribed?
No. The quantity and dose depend on the consultation. The price table lists quantities, not a promise of a particular course or permission to continue beyond the treatment limit.
How is the dose increased?
Only the prescriber decides. Do not follow a fixed self-increase schedule or restart automatically after a break. We do not present intermittent use as a way around the maximum treatment period.
Can I take it with Mounjaro or other medicines?
Mounjaro, Lusefi, topiramate and metformin have different mechanisms and precautions. Any combination requires an individual assessment. Tell the doctor about antidepressants, migraine treatments, contraceptive pills, other prescriptions and supplements; a lack of a listed interaction is not a guarantee.
What if I develop side effects?
Contact the clinic promptly about palpitations, insomnia, dizziness or troublesome nausea. Seek urgent medical care for chest pain, fainting or breathing difficulty instead of waiting for LINE. Do not take extra tablets to compensate for a reduced effect.
What about pregnancy, breastfeeding or trying to conceive?
Tell the doctor before treatment. Sanorex is not an option for weight management during pregnancy, and breastfeeding or pregnancy plans require specific advice.
Is it more effective than Mounjaro?
They work differently and have different indications, risks and treatment durations. A tablet-versus-injection preference does not establish which is appropriate for you.
Medicine information and sources
Sanorex is approved in Japan for a defined severe-obesity indication. Use outside that indication is off-label. We source medicines through authorised Japanese wholesalers. Wegovy and Zepbound are other Japanese-approved obesity medicines with separate criteria. Overseas approval and import rules differ; Japanese prescribing does not establish permission to take Sanorex abroad. Off-label treatment may not be covered by Japan’s adverse drug reaction relief scheme.
